Fun Facts About What You're Coloring
- Stars and hearts have special meanings: The star shape often represents the Star of Bethlehem, guiding the way for the first Christmas. Hearts symbolize love and togetherness—perfect for sharing cookies with family and friends during the holidays.
- Cookie cutters are ancient tools: People have been using shaped molds for thousands of years! But the metal cookie cutters we know today became popular in the 1800s. Before that, bakers used hand-carved wooden molds or even their fingers to shape dough.
- Decorating cookies is a global tradition: In Germany, there's a cookie called Zimtsterne (cinnamon stars) that's made with ground nuts and topped with meringue. In Scandinavia, heart-shaped pepparkakor (gingerbread) cookies are a Christmas staple. So this tray is like a mini world tour of holiday baking!
